I am Dawson Palm and I have been rafting on the Middle Fork of the Salmon since 2013. Like many of the other guides, it started with a pleasure trip, then learning to row and set up camp, ultimately earning my guide’s license and even though it’s a lot of hard work, I love navigating our big sweep boat downriver everyday with the bulk of our camp gear and having camp ready when you arrive. I can’t think of a better way to have fun and share an incredible experience with others than to escort guests down the Middle Fork. Off river, I am a licensed contract pilot currently flying Gulfstream IV aircraft with a goal of becoming a commercial pilot in the near future.
I love being on the river and it would be great to see you this summer!
