Dawson Palm

I am Dawson Palm and I have been rafting on the Middle Fork of the Salmon since 2013. Like many other guides, my interest in the job began with a pleasure trip. As a teenager, I learned to row and set up camp, earning my guide’s license and becoming a sweep boat driver, a boat which is unique to this river. Knowing this was my passion, I worked diligently to grow my knowledge of the Frank Church Wilderness and this small piece of heaven that called the Middle Fork of the Salmon. I can’t think of a better way to have fun and share an incredible experience with others than to escort guests down the Middle Fork. Aside from the river season, I am a licensed contract pilot, currently flying Gulfstream IV aircraft, with a goal of becoming a commercial pilot in the near future.
