Adventure Sun Valley – Outfitter on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River – Idaho.
Hello, it is with great willingness that I write this ! I am beyond excited to launch on my third June trip ( water is higher ) in three summers, down the Middle Fork of the Salmon River in central Idaho, with Adventure Sun Valley and it’s team of the most amazing guides, and my friend Alan Fredrick, the bus driver !
I agree whole heartedly with the other reviews about cherished experiences.
I went the first time by myself ( female / 50ish ) a little nervous and out of shape , but I soon found an INNER PEACE & CONNECTION in my surroundings . Then comes the ADRENALINE RUSH ! I’m looking forward to what’s around the next bend in the river.
On my first trip Eli helped me up the rock slide to Veil Falls, to a view that was well worth the effort.
With that experience I decided that the next time on my next trip I would be in better shape. So, inspired -the next trip I was stronger and 25 pounds lighter – scrambled up the rock slide to Vail Falls unassisted. I recommend climbing down to stand under Vail Falls light mist, very freeing I must say…
The guides that I have met Eli, Luke, James, Scott & David are wonderful! ( I stole David’s presentation of Pineapple, Oranges with Cinnamon & Coconut and take it to any party I bring food to. Of course I tell anyone who will listen, who I stole it from )
Food , Oh My ! These guys can cook !
I love to do photography, so it’s to my delight the food presentation is a delight to the eyes as well as the taste buds! Happy! Happy!
The first night on my second trip, I realized as I lay my head on the pillow ( thanks to Melody Frei for the pillow selection ) that I had a HUGE SMILE on my face!
Finally back to just where I wanted to be. The trip was going to end much to fast for me !
I now often find myself closing my eyes.
I’m mentally transporting myself back to the MiddleFork, so that when am in need to calm my mind & spirit I have the feelings and visions within me, so precious..
Everyone! I feel, needs to make an experience like this Happen for themselves / family ! Don’t just say” ONE DAY ” take charge and say ” This Is What I’m Doing! Want to Come With Me ?”
Only two slightly negatives –
- Seeing a Car for the first time in 5 days after Cramer Rapids.
- Approaching Cache Bar ( take out location ) and Luke saying to me ” Pam you have to let go of the boat now, time to get out, the trip is over…”
” For Now, I Say “…
Bless you, Len Billingsley ( thank you for the Wink )
