Joey Hobson

I am thrilled to be returning to guide on the Middle Fork of the Salmon for my sixth season, the fourth with Adventure Sun Valley and this guide team. I grew up in Twin Falls, Idaho and have been an ardent outdoorsman my entire life and have been privileged to explore many of Idaho’s most amazing destinations. The Middle Fork sits right at the top of my list! It is the perfect combination of remote, rugged mountain ranges, world-famous fly fishing, crystal-clear water and of course amazing whitewater. When I am not on the river, I can be found rock-climbing, water skiing, fishing, skiing, running or just about anything that gives me an excuse to get outdoors. I also love spending time with my family. I just completed my first year at the Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine and am looking forward to a few months of outdoor adventure before resuming my intense study schedule.
